08:00 We will pick you up at the airport, hotel, or any designated location in Padang City. Then we’ll begin the scenic drive to Bukittinggi, which takes approximately 3 hours.
10:00 On the way to Bukittinggi, we’ll stop at the iconic Lembah Anai Waterfall, located right beside the road. This stunning waterfall is one of the most recognized symbols of West Sumatra tourism.
10:30 We continue driving to Bukittinggi, a historically significant city that served as the temporary capital of Indonesia during the revolutionary period. Bukittinggi is also the hometown of several prominent Indonesian figures.
12:30 Upon arrival in Bukittinggi, we’ll visit Ngarai Sianok Canyon and the historic Lubang Jepang (Japanese Tunnel), a natural valley shaped by geological processes and wartime history.
01:30 Next, we’ll stop at Jam Gadang, the iconic clock tower and landmark of Bukittinggi City. At the end of the tour, enjoy shopping for local snacks and souvenirs at the vibrant Ateh Market.
03:00 We’ll drop you off at your destination in Bukittinggi, or optionally return you to Padang. Tour ends.

There are different entrance fee between Domestic Tourist and International Tourist for the attractions in this tour, the stated price rates do not include it. Each attraction ticket is valid for 1 time use in a day per person.
Children (2-5) years old Non-Indonesian ID Card Holder are also subject for this additional fee.

I booked this Padang to Bukittinggi tour for us, and it was such a memorable journey. The drive through Kelok 44 was stunning, with endless lake views, and I loved pointing out the scenery to my girlfriend. The waterfalls were refreshing stops, perfect for photos together. The cultural landmarks gave us a deeper appreciation of Minangkabau heritage, and I enjoyed seeing her fascinated by the traditional architecture. Lunch was tasty, though the schedule felt a bit rushed at times. Still, the mix of nature and culture made it a perfect couple’s trip, and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting both adventure and romance.

This Padang–Bukittinggi tour was such a rewarding experience. Coming from Malaysia, I was impressed by how diverse and rich the culture felt here. The waterfalls were stunning, and the winding Kelok 44 road was an adventure in itself. Visiting traditional houses and landmarks gave me a real sense of history. The guide was knowledgeable, though the journey was a bit long. That’s why I rated it 4.5 instead of 5 stars. Overall, it’s a must-do for anyone who wants to see both natural beauty and cultural depth in West Sumatra.

Padang bikin kenyang, Bukittinggi bikin adem. Guide ramah, jelasin sejarahnya nggak bikin bosan. Minusnya cuma jalanan agak macet, jadi waktunya agak mepet. Overall puas lah.

Cool trip overall! Padang was fun to explore, especially the food stops—rendang hits different here. Bukit Tinggi had awesome views and the old town vibe was nice. The ride was kinda long, but the guide kept it lively. Would’ve been perfect with a bit more time to chill at each spot.

Di Bukittinggi, kami menjelajahi Jam Gadang, lalu berjalan kaki di sekitar pasar tradisional yang penuh warna. Bagian paling berkesan adalah Ngarai Sianok, dengan panorama dramatis yang membuat setiap foto tampak seperti lukisan. Lobang Jepang menambah nuansa sejarah, memberi gambaran perjuangan masa lalu.
