Surabaya & Malang 2D1N Tour – East Java’s Heritage & Highlands
Surabaya and Malang are two of East Java’s most beloved destinations. Surabaya, famously known as the City of Heroes, played a crucial role in Indonesia’s independence struggle and today offers a mix of historical landmarks, cultural districts, and modern attractions. Malang, nestled in the cool mountain highlands, is celebrated for its refreshing climate, scenic landscapes, and creative tourism spots. Together, these cities provide a perfect balance of history, culture, nature, and culinary experiences.
This 2-day, 1-night program is designed to let you explore Surabaya’s heritage and Malang’s highland charm, while enjoying authentic East Javanese hospitality and cuisine.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival & Surabaya City Tour
Upon arrival at Juanda International Airport, our team will greet you and begin the Surabaya City Tour. You will explore several of Surabaya’s most iconic attractions:
- Submarine Monument (Monkasel): A retired Russian submarine turned museum, offering a glimpse into Indonesia’s naval history.
- Heroes Monument & Museum: A towering landmark commemorating Surabaya’s role in the independence struggle, with exhibits that bring history to life.
- House of Sampoerna: A heritage building and museum showcasing the story of Indonesia’s famous clove cigarettes, complete with cultural displays.
- Suramadu Bridge: The longest bridge in Indonesia, connecting Surabaya with Madura Island, offering impressive views.
- Ampel Arab Quarter: A vibrant district with Middle Eastern influences, historic mosques, and bustling markets.
- Local Culinary & Shopping: Experience Surabaya’s signature dishes such as rawon and sate klopo, and shop for souvenirs.
In the afternoon, we will drive to Malang (approx. 2–2.5 hours). Dinner will be served upon arrival, followed by hotel check-in. You will spend the night in Malang, enjoying the cool and refreshing mountain air.
Day 2 – Malang & Batu City Tour – Departure
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we begin the Malang and Batu City Tour:
- Jatim Park (Batu): One of East Java’s most popular theme parks, featuring educational exhibits, rides, and family-friendly attractions.
- Apple Agro Tourism: Experience apple-picking in Batu’s orchards, taste fresh fruit straight from the tree, and purchase apples as souvenirs (additional cost).
By noon, we will return to Surabaya (approx. 2 hours). The tour concludes with drop-off at Juanda International Airport, marking the end of your journey.
