The Bromo Midnight Tour is a thrilling journey that unveils the mystical beauty of Mount Bromo under the stars. Departing late at night, this adventure takes you through the cool highlands of East Java, arriving at Penanjakan before dawn—just in time to witness the sky ignite with brilliant hues over the volcanic landscape.
The experience includes a sunrise vista over Bromo’s majestic crater, a walk across the ethereal Sea of Sand, and a visit to the whispering slopes of Mount Batok. Wrapped in crisp mountain air and a sense of awe, it’s a moment where nature, silence, and spectacle collide.

Tour Plan
11:30pm We will pick up you at your hotel or any places inside Surabaya city, take simple introduction with our crew and short brief of the tour. Then departs to Cemoro Lawang at the foot of Mt. Bromo, this will takes around 3 hours drive depends to the traffic conditions. We strongly recommend you to use your time for rest and sleeping.
02:00am We will arrive at Cemoro Lawang village at the foot of Mt. Bromo. Take a short rest. Next we will change our transportation into 4wd car (Hardtop) and takes another one hour drive to Penanjakan sunrise view point. Be patience while waiting for the sunrise.
05:30am Enjoy the sunrise moment at the highest place in Bromo, you can watch the sun raise up in between mountains with golden lights, at the same time, you can see the wonderful landscape of the national park, the giant caldera of Mt. Bromo, villages above the clouds. Take your camera and get your pictures.
06:30am We will get down into the caldera of Bromo, passing the sea of sands and stop nearby Poten temple, from here we will do short trekking (around 40 minutes) to the crater rim of Mt. Bromo, optionally you hire a horse which is provided by locals to take you up. Enjoy and take time and pictures at the crater rim of Mt. Bromo.
08:00am We will continue the tour and visit photo stop at the part of sea of sands.
09:00am Back to Cemoro Lawang village, take a rest and breakfast.
10:00am Transfer you back to Surabaya, takes another 3,5 hours drive.
02:00pm Finish the tour in Surabaya.

The sunrise at Bromo was amazing! Colors over the volcano and sea of sand were unreal. The ride from Surabaya was kinda long but the jeep ride made it fun. The viewpoint was a bit crowded, so finding the perfect photo spot took effort, but still totally worth waking up early for.
