Each private kids’ surf lesson in Cimaja – Pelabuhan Ratu lasts approximately 2 hours, combining playful theory and hands-on practice designed for young learners.

The first 30 minutes take place on the beach, where our friendly instructor introduces your child to the basics of surfing. This includes understanding how waves work, how to handle a surfboard, paddling techniques, ocean safety, and simple surf etiquette—all explained in a fun and easy-to-follow way.

The next 90 minutes are spent in the water, where kids get to apply what they’ve learned. With close supervision and gentle guidance, they’ll practice paddling out, catching small waves, standing up, and learning how to balance and steer their board. I was impressed with how the coaches managed the kids in the water. They explained things clearly and kept the lessons fun. My daughter enjoyed it a lot and came out smiling. The only downside was that the session felt a little short, but for beginners it was just right. Overall, safe and enjoyable for kids.
