• Advance Booking Required To ensure availability and proper coordination, bookings must be completed at least 2 days before your tour date. This allows us to prepare your boat, crew, and logistics.
• Morning Departure Recommended The best time to begin your charter is in the morning, when sea conditions are calm and visibility is ideal for snorkeling. This also ensures you return before late afternoon, avoiding strong currents and peak heat.
• Departure Point: Fort Rotterdam Beachfront Your tour begins at the beach in front of Fort Rotterdam, a central and historic landmark in Makassar. It’s easy to access and offers a scenic start to your island adventure.
• Itinerary May Vary The tour itinerary—including pick-up time and island sequence—may change depending on weather, sea conditions, or other local factors. Flexibility ensures safety and a better overall experience.
• Officer Contact Provided Before Departure Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll send you the name and phone number of your assigned tour officer no later than 1 day before departure, so you can coordinate directly if needed.
• Cash is Essential Most vendors on Samalona Island do not accept cards or digital payments. Bring small bills for snacks, coconuts, or optional gear rentals.
• Basic Facilities Only Expect minimal infrastructure—no public toilets or changing rooms. Plan ahead for comfort and hygiene.
• Shelter Fees May Apply You may be asked to pay a small fee (approx. IDR 100,000) for shaded huts or resting decks on the island.
