Samalona is a gem! Loved the day trip – swimming, snorkeling, and just relaxing on the sand. The guides were fun and helpful, and the island felt like a private getaway. Food was tasty too. Honestly, couldn’t ask for more. Solid 5 stars!
Samalona was super nice! The boat ride from Makassar was quick, and the snorkeling spots had clear water with lots of fish. The island itself is small but cozy. Only thing, it got a bit crowded and facilities are pretty simple. Still, 4/5 stars for the experience!
he snorkeling was beautiful, with clear waters and vibrant marine life. The private boat made it feel romantic and peaceful. The only minor downside was that lunch options on the island were limited, but the fresh seafood we tried was delicious. Perfect for couples looking for a quick escape from Makassar.
We went as a group of friends, and snorkeling together was so much fun. The boat ride was short and safe, and the guide showed us the best spots to see coral and marine life. We laughed a lot and took tons of photos. It wasn’t luxury, but for adventure and bonding, it was a great 4‑star experience.
Our family enjoyed the boat ride to Samalona Island, and the kids loved splashing in the clear water. Snorkeling was fun, though the coral wasn’t as vibrant as expected. Facilities were basic, and the schedule felt a bit rushed. Lunch was simple but filling. Overall, it’s a safe family outing, though improvements in equipment and pacing would make it more comfortable.
