Savannah of Bromo (Teletubbies Hill) – A Hidden Gem in East Java

Location & Access

The Savannah of Bromo is located about 20 minutes by jeep (hardtop) from the parking area near Mount Batok. Visitors can also rent horses to cross the Sea of Sand before reaching the savannah, adding a touch of adventure to the journey.

The savannah is at its most beautiful during the rainy season, when the grass turns bright green and wildflowers bloom in shades of purple and yellow. Travelers entering Bromo via Tumpang (Malang) or Lumajang will naturally pass through the savannah before reaching the Sea of Sand.
