2-Day Tumpak Sewu Waterfall & B29 Sunrise Tour from Surabaya or Malang

Day 1 – Tumpak Sewu Waterfall Adventure

07:00 – Pick-up from Surabaya or Malang
Your guide will meet you at your hotel or designated location. After a short briefing, begin your scenic journey toward the southern slopes of Mount Semeru.

07:00–10:30 – Drive to Tumpak Sewu
Enjoy a comfortable ride through East Java’s lush countryside. Along the way, you’ll pass rice fields, small villages, and volcanic landscapes that hint at the region’s dramatic geology.

10:30–11:30 – Panoramic Viewpoint of Tumpak Sewu
Arrive at the upper viewpoint and witness the breathtaking horseshoe-shaped cascade from above. This is the perfect spot for wide-angle photos and drone shots, with Mount Semeru looming in the background.

11:30–13:00 – Trek to the Base of the Waterfall
Begin your descent into the canyon via a mix of bamboo ladders, rocky paths, and shallow streams. The trek is moderately challenging but rewarding. At the base, you’ll feel the full power of Tumpak Sewu as mist rises and water thunders around you—an immersive experience that brings you face-to-face with Java’s most iconic waterfall.

13:00–14:00 – Lunch at a Local Eatery
Refuel with a traditional Javanese meal at a local warung or café. Your guide will help you choose dishes that suit your taste and dietary needs.

14:00–16:00 – Visit Goa Tetes or Relax Nearby
Optional short trek to Goa Tetes, a mystical cave with dripping water and moss-covered walls. Alternatively, unwind at the upper viewpoint and soak in the scenery while capturing photos.

16:00–17:30 – Transfer to Lumajang for Overnight Stay
After a full day of exploration, head to Lumajang for a restful evening. The drive offers more views of East Java’s rural charm.

18:00 – Check-in at Hotel in Lumajang
Settle into your accommodation. Enjoy a warm shower, dinner, and prepare for an early start the next day.

Day 2 – B29 Sunrise & Return

03:30 – Wake-up and Transfer to B29 Viewpoint Depart before dawn for Argosari village, home to B29—known as “The Land Above the Clouds.” The drive climbs through highland farms and misty ridges.

05:00–06:30 – Sunrise at B29 Viewpoint
Reach the summit just in time for sunrise. Watch as the sky glows above Mount Bromo, Batok, and Semeru, with clouds swirling below your feet. This peaceful alternative to Penanjakan offers a unique and less crowded experience.

07:00–08:00 – Light Breakfast with Mountain Views Enjoy a simple breakfast—coffee, tea, and local snacks—while soaking in the fresh mountain air. Your guide will share stories about the Tengger highlands and local culture.

08:00–10:00 – Optional Village Walk or Rest
Take a short walk through Argosari’s terraced fields and meet friendly locals, or simply relax and enjoy the view before heading back.

10:00–13:00 – Return Transfer to Surabaya or Malang
Begin your journey back with plenty of memories and photos. Drop-off at your hotel or preferred location by early afternoon.

• Availability & Booking Deadline: This tour is available daily with a minimum of 2 participants. Booking must be completed at least 2 days before departure.
• Start Time & Itinerary Flexibility: Tour begins at 07:00 AM from Surabaya or Malang. Itinerary may shift due to traffic, weather, or local conditions.
• Hotel Occupancy Policy: Accommodation is based on twin-sharing (1 room for 2 people). If your group has an odd number of travelers, an extra bed will be added to one of the rooms.
• Physical Requirements: Trekking and early hikes are involved. This tour is not recommended for guests over 65 years old or those with physical disabilities.
• Tumpak Sewu Trekking Info: Includes panoramic viewpoint. To descend to the base, you’ll trek 800 meters down stairs, rocky paths, and cross a river—taking 30–40 minutes. This route also passes Goa Tetes waterfall. The descent is optional and available as an add-on service.
• Rainy Season Advisory: From December to March, panoramic views are still accessible, but descending to the base is not recommended due to flash flood risks.
• Best Travel Season: Ideal time is May to October during the dry season for safer trekking and clearer views.
• International Tourist Fee: Tour fare excludes additional entrance ticket fee for international tourists. This must be added during booking.
• Photography & Experience: Tumpak Sewu offers dramatic waterfall views, while B29 delivers a peaceful sunrise above the clouds—ideal for nature lovers and photographers.

• Each attraction ticket is valid for 1 time use in a day per person.
• Children (2-5) years old Non-Indonesian ID Card Holder are also subject for this additional fee.
