This tour was both educational and inspiring. The Ullen Sentalu Museum opened our eyes to aspects of Javanese history we hadn’t known before, offering cultural depth and unique insights. Standing near Merapi, we reflected on how Gunung Kidul communities manage life in areas prone to danger, which gave us a new appreciation for their resilience. The logistics were smooth, though more time at each stop would be ideal. A rewarding experience 4 stars.
The drive up to Merapi gave awesome views, and standing near the volcano felt unreal. The museum part was a nice surprise—cool stories about Javanese culture and art, not boring at all. The guide kept things light and fun. Only minus: traffic back to Jogja was kinda heavy, but overall it’s a solid trip if you want nature + culture in one go.
Our family trip to Merapi Volcano and Ullen Sentalu Museum was both fun and educational. The volcano views were impressive, and our son enjoyed learning about its history. I joined this tour with two of my friends, and it was a really fun day. The Merapi Volcano views were amazing, and the jeep ride made it feel adventurous. The Ullen Sentalu Museum was unique and gave us a deeper look into Javanese culture. The only small downside was the long drive, but overall it was worth it for the experience.
