07:00 – Depart from Yogyakarta Your driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel in Yogyakarta. Enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive through Central Java’s countryside, passing rice fields, villages, and volcanic landscapes. An early start ensures cooler trekking weather and fewer crowds.

09:00 – Arrive at Selogriyo Base Village Reach the base village near Mount Sumbing. After a short briefing, begin a 30–40 minute trek through terraced rice fields and forested paths. The trail is moderately easy and offers stunning views of the valley and surrounding hills.

09:30 – Explore Selogriyo Temple Visit the 8th-century Hindu sanctuary perched on a quiet hillside. Your guide will share insights into its architecture, symbolism, and spiritual significance. The peaceful setting and panoramic views make it ideal for reflection and photography.

11:00 – Optional Lunch in Magelang (Guest’s Expense) Stop at a local eatery for a traditional Javanese meal. Typical dishes include rice, vegetables, tempeh, and chicken or tofu. Vegetarian options are available. Lunch is not included in the tour price and is paid directly by the guest.

12:00 – Depart for Kedung Kayang Waterfall Drive 1 hour north toward the slopes of Mount Merapi and Mount Merbabu. The route passes through pine forests and highland farms, offering scenic views and glimpses of volcanic peaks.

13:00 – Arrive at Kedung Kayang Waterfall Explore one of Central Java’s most photogenic waterfalls. Choose between a short walk to the panoramic viewpoint or a steeper descent to the base. Enjoy the cool mist, dramatic cliffs, and breathtaking views of Mount Merapi.

14:30 – Free Time and Photography Relax by the waterfall, take photos, or enjoy the fresh mountain air. Your guide can assist with photography or share local stories about the area’s geology and legends.

15:30 – Return to Yogyakarta Depart Kedung Kayang and begin the 2-hour drive back to Yogyakarta. Reflect on the day’s highlights as you pass through scenic landscapes and rural communities.

17:30 – Drop-off at Your Hotel Arrive back in Yogyakarta by early evening. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel or preferred location, concluding a full day of cultural discovery and natural beauty.
