Day 1 – Midnight Departure from Surabaya to Mt. Bromo

23:00 – Hotel Pickup in Surabaya Begin your Bromo adventure with a late-16night pickup from your hotel or any location in Surabaya city. Meet our crew, receive a short briefing, and get comfortable for the journey.
23:30 – Depart to Cemoro Lawang Enjoy a scenic 3-hour drive to Cemoro Lawang village, the gateway to Mount Bromo. We recommend using this time to rest and sleep so you’re refreshed for the sunrise experience.

Day 2 – Sunrise, Crater Trek & Madakaripura Waterfall

03:00 – Arrive at Cemoro Lawang Take a short rest before switching to a 4WD Hardtop Jeep for the next leg of your journey.
03:30 – Drive to Penanjakan Viewpoint Begin a one-hour drive to Penanjakan, the highest sunrise viewpoint in the Bromo area.
04:30 – Arrive at Penanjakan Settle in and wait for the sunrise. This spot offers panoramic views of Mt. Bromo, Mt. Batok, Mt. Semeru, and the Sea of Sand.
05:30 – Sunrise Experience Watch the sun rise between volcanic peaks, casting golden light across the caldera and villages above the clouds. Capture stunning photos of this unforgettable moment.
06:00 – Descend into the Caldera Drive into the Sea of Sand and stop near Pura Luhur Poten temple. Begin a 40-minute trek to the crater rim of Mt. Bromo. Optional horse rides are available from local guides.
07:00 – Explore the Crater Rim Reach the edge of Mt. Bromo’s active crater. Take your time to enjoy the view, breathe in the volcanic air, and snap memorable photos.
07:30 – Photo Stop in Sea of Sand Continue the tour with a short photo stop in the dramatic Sea of Sand.
08:00 – Return to Cemoro Lawang Head back to the village for a well-deserved breakfast and rest.
09:00 – Depart to Madakaripura Waterfall Transfer by car to Madakaripura Waterfall, located about 1 hour from Cemoro Lawang. This hidden gem is known for its towering cliffs and mystical ambiance.
10:00 – Explore Madakaripura Waterfall Walk through lush forest trails and shallow streams to reach the majestic waterfall. Enjoy the refreshing mist and dramatic scenery—perfect for nature lovers and photographers.
11:30 – Depart for Surabaya After drying off and changing, begin the 3-hour drive back to Surabaya.

• Altitude & Temperature: Mount Bromo can be cold (10–15°C), especially before sunrise—bring a warm jacket and layers.
• International Visitors: Foreign tourists are subject to additional entrance fees at both Bromo and Madakaripura.
• Photography: Both locations offer dramatic landscapes—bring a camera or smartphone to capture sunrise, crater views, and waterfall scenes.
