Yogyakarta & Dieng Plateau 3D2N Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival & Prambanan Temple
Upon arrival at Adisucipto International Airport, our guide will greet you and provide a short introduction before transferring you to your hotel in Yogyakarta city center. After a brief rest, the adventure begins with a visit to Prambanan Temple, the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia, built in the 9th century. You’ll explore its towering spires, intricate stone carvings, and nearby temples such as Sewu, which together showcase the grandeur of ancient Javanese civilization.
In the evening, we’ll take you to Malioboro Street, the bustling heart of Yogyakarta nightlife. This vibrant avenue is lined with shops selling batik, handicrafts, and souvenirs, while street food vendors offer authentic flavors of Jogja. Strolling through Malioboro gives you a taste of the city’s energy and culture. Afterward, return to the hotel for rest and overnight stay.
Day 2 – Borobudur Temple & Dieng Plateau
After breakfast, we head to Borobudur Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s greatest architectural wonders. Built during the Sailendra dynasty, Borobudur is a massive Buddhist monument with nine stacked platforms and 2,672 relief panels that narrate spiritual teachings. Walking through its corridors and reaching the top stupa offers both historical insight and breathtaking views.
Following lunch at a local restaurant, we drive about three hours to Dieng Plateau in Wonosobo, a highland region known for its volcanic landscapes and mystical atmosphere. Upon arrival, we visit Sikidang Crater, where bubbling mud pools and steaming vents demonstrate the plateau’s geothermal activity. This natural spectacle is both educational and awe‑inspiring. In the evening, check in at a local homestay, enjoy a traditional dinner, and rest overnight surrounded by the cool mountain air.
Day 3 – Dieng Exploration & Return to Yogyakarta
Wake up early at 03:00 AM for a trek to Sikunir Hill, a highlight of Dieng Plateau. After a 30‑minute hike, you’ll witness the famous Golden Sunrise, where the sky glows with shades of gold and orange over a panorama of mountains and valleys. On the way back, stop at Cebong Lake, a serene spot perfect for photography and reflection.
After breakfast and check‑out, continue exploring Dieng with visits to Telaga Warna (Color Lake), known for its shifting hues caused by mineral content, and Pengilon Lake, a clear mirror‑like lake nearby. You’ll also explore Goa Alam, a natural cave with cultural significance, before heading to Padang Tieng Viewpoint, where you can experience the sensation of standing “above the clouds.”
Before leaving Dieng, shop for local souvenirs such as carica fruit products, potato chips, and handmade crafts. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before we drive back to Yogyakarta, arriving before evening to conclude the tour.
