Ijen Crater Blue Fire Trip from Surabaya or Malang

Day 1 – Surabaya to Ijen

10:30 – Pick up from your hotel or any location in Surabaya. Meet our crew for introductions and a short briefing. Begin the scenic drive to Sempol village at the foot of Mt. Ijen, approximately 7 hours.
17:30 – Arrive at Sempol village, check in at hotel, and enjoy free time.
19:00 – Dinner at a local restaurant, then relax and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Ijen Crater Trekking

00:30 – Depart hotel and head to Paltuding base camp, the starting point for Ijen trekking.
01:30 – Arrive at Paltuding, short rest while we arrange entrance administration.
02:00 – Begin trekking to Ijen Crater rim (1.5–2 hours depending on stamina). Encounter traditional sulfur miners along the way.
03:30 – Descend into the crater to witness the famous blue fire and observe miners collecting sulfur.
05:00 – Return to the rim and trek back down to Paltuding.
06:00 – Rest and breakfast at Paltuding.
08:00 – Transfer back to Surabaya, approximately 7 hours drive.
15:00 – Arrive in Surabaya, end of tour.

• Good shoe (trekking shoe is better)
• Warm Jacket, the temperature in Ijen crater ranges between 5 up to 15 celcius degree at midnight.
• A Head lamp, this activity involve trekking in the night.
• Masker, strongly recommended to bring it
• Camera, to capture your moments
• Cash, maybe you need to buy some thing, because most local stall does not receive debit or credit card or electronic money

• Health Certificate Requirement: A valid health certificate is required for hiking at Ijen Crater. This can be issued by a clinic in your home country or locally in Indonesia. If you don’t have one, we can assist with obtaining it (additional cost applies, see booking form).
• Local Guide Service: For groups of fewer than 4 people, the local guide will be shared with other travelers.
• Booking Deadline: Reservations must be completed at least 1 day before departure.
• Entrance Ticket Fees: Ticket prices differ for local and foreign tourists. International visitors must add the special foreign tourist fee in the booking form.
• Accommodation Policy: Hotel rooms are based on double occupancy (1 room for 2 persons). For odd-numbered groups, an extra bed will be added to one room.
• Temperature Notes: Average temperatures at Mt. Ijen range between 5–10°C, with the coldest conditions usually during the dry season (June–October).
• Seasonal Preparation:
  • Rainy Season (Dec–May): Bring an umbrella or raincoat.
  • Dry Season (May–Nov): Expect colder nights and sunrise temperatures; bring a warm jacket, gloves, and a mask to protect against dust in the Sea of Sands.
• Itinerary Flexibility: The schedule may change depending on pick‑up location, traffic, weather, or other local conditions.
• Optional Drop‑Off: Drop‑off at Banyuwangi, including Ketapang Harbor, is available with an additional cost. This service is ideal for travelers who wish to continue their journey to Bali. Please check the booking form for the fee.

• International ticket: Rp150.000
• Each attraction ticket is valid for 1 time use in a day per person.
• Children (2-5) years old Non-Indonesian ID Card Holder are also subject for this additional fee.
