Tour Plan

Day 1 Surabaya - Bromo

Start your East Java volcano tour with a private pickup from Surabaya (hotel, airport, or station). After a quick trip briefing, head to the scenic slopes of Mount Bromo.

Optional: Stop at Madakaripura Waterfall, a stunning canyon-side cascade perfect for photos and light trekking.

Arrive in the afternoon and check in to your hotel near Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Rest early—your midnight journey to catch the iconic Mount Bromo sunrise begins tonight.

Day 2 Bromo - Ijen

At 02:00 AM, your Mount Bromo sunrise adventure begins. First stop: Penanjakan Viewpoint, where you'll witness the breathtaking sunrise over the volcanic peaks of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.

After sunrise, continue by jeep across the Sea of Sand, then trek to the rim of Mount Bromo’s crater for panoramic views and dramatic photo ops.

By late morning, return to the hotel for lunch and a short rest. Breakfast is not included due to the early start—participants are advised to bring light snacks.

In the afternoon, depart for Ijen Crater via Bondowoso. Upon arrival at the slopes of Mount Ijen, check in to your hotel and prepare for the midnight hike to Ijen’s blue fire crater.

Day 3 Ijen - Surabaya

At 01:00 AM, begin your Mount Ijen crater hike to witness the rare and mesmerizing blue flame phenomenon. The trek takes around 2 hours through forested trails and rocky paths.

Upon reaching the crater, marvel at the glowing blue flames—visible only in the dark before sunrise. Along the way, you’ll encounter traditional sulfur miners, carrying heavy loads with simple tools in one of the world’s most extreme workplaces.

Before sunrise, descend from the crater and return to your hotel for breakfast. After check-out, begin your journey back to Surabaya. Optional stops at local East Java snack shops are available on the way back to Surabaya.

This marks the end of your unforgettable 3-day volcano tour in East Java, featuring Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater—two of Indonesia’s most iconic natural wonders.

This tour is available daily, with a minimum booking of 2 persons
Booking must be completed at least 3 days before the departure date
Recommended during dry season (May to October), with best conditions from July to October
Hotel rooms are based on twin-sharing (1 room for 2 persons). For odd-numbered groups, an extra bed will be added to one room
Tour can start and end at any location in Surabaya: hotel, harbor, airport, or public place
After booking, you’ll receive the name and contact number of your assigned tour officer. This information will be sent no later than 1 day before departure
If you include the Madakaripura Waterfall tour, departure will be 2 hours earlier. The waterfall visit will be arranged before heading to Mount Bromo
International tourists must pay additional entrance fees for Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater. These fees differ from local rates and should be included during booking
Expect cold temperatures at both volcanoes: 0–10°C during dry season. Conditions are slightly warmer during the rainy season.
Best travel season: May to October (especially July–October for clear skies)
Optional finish in Banyuwangi is available with extra cost, please add it in Extra Service section.
