Begin your East Java adventure with a morning pickup from your hotel, airport, or train station in Surabaya. Our guide will provide a short briefing before we head southeast through Sidoarjo, Pasuruan, Malang, and Lumajang—passing rice fields, villages, and volcanic backdrops.

11:30 AM – Lunch Break En Route to Tumpak Sewu
Enjoy a local lunch at a roadside eatery, sampling East Javanese cuisine before the waterfall trek.

01:00 PM – Tumpak Sewu Waterfall Panorama & Base Trek
Arrive at the main gate and descend a 10–15 minute stairway to the panoramic viewpoint. For adventurous guests, continue trekking to the base of the waterfall through jungle paths and shallow river crossings. Explore Goa Tetes, a mystical cave waterfall surrounded by mossy cliffs and dripping stone walls.

03:30 PM – Return to Parking Area & Transfer to Probolinggo
After soaking in the beauty, retrace the trail to the top and begin the 3-hour drive to Probolinggo, passing scenic hills and rural landscapes.

06:30 PM – Hotel Check-In & Overnight in Probolinggo
Check into a comfortable hotel near Mount Bromo. Rest and prepare for the early morning volcano adventure.

Day 2 – Mount Bromo Sunrise, Crater Trek & Transfer to Bondowoso

01:00 AM – Depart for Mount Bromo Sunrise Tour
Board a 4WD jeep and ascend to Penanjakan Viewpoint, the highest peak overlooking Mount Bromo, Semeru, and Batok. Watch the sky transform as the sun rises over the volcanic horizon—one of Indonesia’s most iconic landscapes.

05:30 AM – Crater Trek & Poten Temple Visit
Descend into the Sea of Sand, a vast volcanic plain. Pass by Poten Temple, a sacred Tenggerese Hindu site (sightseeing only), then trek up the stairway to the rim of Bromo’s active crater. Feel the heat and hear the rumble of the earth below.

07:30 AM – Whispering Sands Photo Stop

09:00 AM – Return to Hotel for Breakfast & Rest
Head back to the hotel for a hearty breakfast and short rest before continuing the journey.

11:00 AM – Depart for Bondowoso (Ijen Slopes)
Drive 4–5 hours to Bondowoso, passing coffee plantations, mountain roads, and rural villages. This scenic route sets the stage for the final leg of your volcano adventure.

04:30 PM – Hotel Check-In & Rest Before Midnight Trek
Check into a hotel near Ijen’s base camp. Rest and prepare for the early morning hike to witness the blue fire phenomenon.

Day 3 – Ijen Crater Sunrise & Return to Surabaya

01:00 AM – Depart for Ijen Crater Trek
Begin the 2-hour hike from Paltuding base camp to the rim of Ijen Crater. Along the way, encounter traditional sulfur miners carrying heavy loads with handmade baskets—an unforgettable glimpse into local resilience.

03:30 AM – Blue Fire Phenomenon
Reach the crater floor before sunrise to witness the rare blue fire, a natural combustion of sulfuric gas—visible only in a few places on Earth.

05:30 AM – Sunrise Over Ijen’s Acid Lake
As daylight breaks, admire the stunning turquoise lake surrounded by jagged volcanic walls. A surreal and humbling experience.

07:00 AM – Descend & Breakfast at Paltuding
Hike back down and enjoy a simple breakfast at the base camp, reflecting on the journey.

08:30 AM – Drive Back to Surabaya
Begin the 7-hour return drive through East Java’s countryside, with optional stops for snacks or souvenirs.

04:30–05:00 PM – Arrival in Surabaya & Tour Ends
Drop-off at your hotel, airport, or train station. Your 3-day volcano and waterfall adventure concludes with lasting memories and epic photos.

• Daily Departure – Minimum 2 Persons This tour operates every day with a minimum of 2 participants. Perfect for couples, small groups, or cruise travelers.
• Advance Booking Required Reservations must be completed at least 3 days before departure to ensure hotel availability, guide coordination, and permit processing.
• Flexible Pickup & Drop-Off Pickup is available from Surabaya city, airport, or train station. You may also end the tour in Banyuwangi city or Ketapang ferry harbor to Bali—just select this add-on during booking.
• Hotel Room Policy Accommodation is based on 1 room for 2 persons. If your group has an odd number, an extra bed will be added to one of the rooms.

• International Tourist Fee Entrance tickets for Tumpak Sewu, Bromo, and Ijen have different rates for local and foreign tourists. If you're an international guest, please include the additional fee during booking.
• Madakaripura Waterfall Add-On This mystical waterfall near Bromo can be added to your itinerary. Surrounded by mossy cliffs and sacred ambiance, it’s a refreshing stop for nature lovers. Select this optional add-on during booking.
• Banyuwangi & Ketapang Harbor Drop-Off Add-On If you're heading to Bali, you can end the tour in Banyuwangi city or Ketapang ferry harbor. This convenient transfer option saves time and connects directly to Bali-bound ferries.

Itinerary & Activity Notes

• Itinerary Flexibility Tour timing may adjust due to traffic, weather, or pickup location. Our team ensures smooth coordination and safety throughout.
• Tumpak Sewu Base Trekking Tumpak Sewu base trek takes 30–40 minutes down steep stairs, rocky paths, and shallow rivers. You'll reach the waterfall’s base and pass Goa Tetes cave. This trek is not recommended for elderly guests or during peak rainy season due to flash flood risk.
• Bromo Crater Trek Optional stair climb to the crater rim. Suitable for guests with basic fitness.
• Ijen Crater Hike Begins at 1:00 AM and takes around 2 hours uphill. Guests will encounter sulfur miners and may experience strong fumes—face masks are recommended.

Seasonal & Weather Considerations

• Best Season to Visit The ideal time to do this tour is July to October, during East Java’s dry season.
• Rainy Season Advisory (Dec–Mar) You can still visit Tumpak Sewu’s viewpoint, but trekking to the base is not recommended due to flash flood risk from sudden rain.
• Temperature Range Expect cold temperatures at Bromo and Ijen, especially before sunrise. During dry season, it ranges from 0–10°C; warmer during rainy months.

• International ticket: Rp530.000
• Each attraction ticket is valid for 1 time use in a day per person.
• Children (2-5) years old Non-Indonesian ID Card Holder are also subject for this additional fee.
