Day 1 – Midnight Ijen Crater Trek & Blue Fire Phenomenon

00:00 – Begin your East Java adventure with a hotel pickup in Banyuwangi city. Meet our friendly crew for a short briefing before heading to Paltuding basecamp, the gateway to Mount Ijen. The drive takes approximately 2 hours—perfect time to rest before the trek.
02:00 – Arrive at Paltuding. Take a short break while we handle your entrance registration and prepare for the hike.
02:30 – Start trekking through Ijen’s volcanic slopes (±1.5–2 hours). Along the way, encounter local sulfur miners beginning their daily work—an authentic glimpse into life on the mountain.
04:30 – Reach the crater rim and descend into the heart of Ijen to witness the legendary blue fire, a rare natural phenomenon caused by ignited sulfuric gas. Watch miners extract bright yellow sulfur under the eerie glow before sunrise.
05:30 – Ascend back to the crater rim and descend to Paltuding. The downhill trek is quicker and offers stunning morning views.
07:00 – Enjoy a light breakfast and rest at Paltuding before continuing your journey.
08:00 – Depart for Mount Bromo via Probolinggo (±6-hour drive). En route, stop for lunch at a local restaurant and enjoy scenic East Java landscapes.
15:00 – Arrive at your hotel in Sukapura village near Mount Bromo. Check-in and relax with free time before the next day’s sunrise adventure.

Day 2 – Bromo Sunrise, Crater Trek & Surabaya Transfer

02:00 – Begin your Bromo sunrise tour with a thrilling 4WD jeep ride to Penanjakan Viewpoint, the highest and most iconic spot to watch the sunrise over the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.
04:30 – Witness the breathtaking sunrise as golden light reveals Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and Mount Semeru. This is one of Indonesia’s most photographed landscapes.
05:30 – Continue to the Sea of Sands, a vast volcanic desert, and begin your trek to the rim of Bromo Crater (±45 minutes). Feel the power of the active volcano as you peer into its steaming caldera.
08:30 – Return to your hotel for breakfast and leisure time.
11:00 – Transfer to Surabaya (±3 hour drive). Lunch will be served at a local restaurant along the way.
15:00 – Arrive in Surabaya. Tour ends with unforgettable memories of East Java’s volcanic wonders.

• Daily Availability & Booking Deadline This tour operates every day with a minimum of 2 participants. Booking must be completed at least 3 days before departure to ensure proper arrangements.
• Flexible Pickup & Drop-off  The tour can start and end at any location in Banyuwangi, including hotels, airports, harbors, or public places. Drop-off in Surabaya or Malang are available for an additional fee—see booking page for details.
• Accommodation Details Hotel rooms are based on twin-sharing (1 room for 2 persons). If your group has an odd number of participants, an extra bed will be added to one of the rooms.
• Itinerary Flexibility The itinerary may change depending on weather, traffic, or local conditions. Pickup times and route adjustments will be communicated as needed.
• Madakaripura Waterfall Add-On If you include Madakaripura Waterfall in your tour package, the visit will take place after the Bromo sunrise and crater trek. This majestic waterfall, hidden in a lush canyon near Bromo, offers a refreshing jungle walk and dramatic cliff scenery. The tour will end approximately 2 hours later to accommodate this unforgettable natural detour.
• Temperature & Seasonal Tips Expect cold temperatures ranging from 0–10°C at both Bromo and Ijen during the dry season. The best time to visit is between July and October, when conditions are clearest.
• International Tourist Fees Entrance fees for Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater differ for local and international tourists. If you're an international traveler, be sure to include these fees during booking.
• Trekking & Safety The Ijen Crater trek involves 1.5–2 hours of uphill hiking and exposure to sulfur fumes. A mask or respirator is strongly recommended. Moderate physical fitness is advised.
• Final Confirmation After booking, you’ll receive the name and contact number of your assigned tour officer at least 1 day before departure for coordination and support.
