This trip was magnifique! The hike was challenging but aman dan teratur, thanks to the guide’s support. Seeing the famous blue fire at dawn was unforgettable & sangat indah sekali. The turquoise lake inside the crater was breathtaking, and saya belajar banyak kata-kata baru dalam bahasa Indonesia selama perjalanan. The driver and guide were friendly, and mereka sabar membantu saya practice Bahasa Indonesia. The only small drawback was the early wake-up time, but that’s part of the adventure. Overall, it was a safe, inspiring, and memorable experience. 4.5 stars!

We did the day trip to Ijen Crater from Banyuwangi, and wow… what an adventure. The hike up was a bit tough, steep in some parts and yeah, you’ll sweat—but once you reach the top, the view is insane. The turquoise lake looks unreal, like something out of a fantasy movie.
If you’re lucky and start super early, you can catch the famous blue fire, it’s wild to see flames dancing in the dark. Watching the sulfur miners carry those heavy loads was humbling too, really shows the tough life behind the beauty.
